St. Patrick’s Day Prayer
Christ be with me, Christ within me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me.
Infuse me with your presence,
Jesus,
And encircle me with your grace.
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me.
Walk with me along
life’s uneven paths, Jesus,
And heal me with your gentle touch.
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in
danger.
Solidify my trust in you, Jesus,
And shine your light upon me.
Christ in hearts of all that love me,
Christ in mouth of
friend and stranger.
Show your face in all those I meet, Jesus,
And help me to embrace both friend and foe.
May the prayer of your
servant, Patrick, shield my
Heart from cynicism and enlarge my capacity to love.
In your gracious name, Jesus, I pray.
