A Cystic Fibrosis Poem
You may not come here with a cough,
If you do, I’ll see you off.
You may not come here with a flu,
I’ll throw
you out, you’ll see I do!
Not with a cough, not with a code
How many times ‘till this gets old?
I do not like your runny nose,
Your aches
and fever and other woes.
I do not like to see you sneeze,
I’ll throw you out after one wheeze.
And do not start me about smoke;
I’ll
throw you out, this is no joke!
Because my child has CF
I’ll fight for him with my last breath.
Until the day a cure is found,
Don’t bring
your germy self around.
But wash your hands and get your rest
And visit when your health is best.
