Prayer For Sufficient Grace To Stop Smoking
Loving Father - I come to You to pray that
You would help me to give up smoking.
Father
in my heart I feel that I am not being
a good witness to those around me –
and although I know that there is no sin in smoking –
nevertheless
my heart desires to quit this habit,-
in order to help to be an encouragement to others,
who are struggling with the habit of smoking
–
both believers and non-believers alike.
Lord I pray that You would take away the desire to smoke
and replace it with more of
a desire to know You more
and to draw ever closer to You in the days that lie ahead –
Lord, I believe that You are willing and able
to give me
the strength to quit and to You be all praise in Jesus name,

Prayer to Help Quit Smoking
Lord, quitting smoking has been one
of the most difficult things I have ever done.
Please help
me remain steadfast in beating
such a terrible and destructive habit.
It harms myself and those around me.
I know that
I can seek comfort in you
when the cravings get overwhelming.
God, remain with me as you always have
to help me fight this awful habit.

O Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to thee.
Through the grace of
your purity,
may this unclean habit cease.
FROM the stench of smoke,
the foul taste in my mouth,
the stains on my hands and teeth,
pray for my release. Hail Mary . . .
FROM coughing and phlegm,
from polluted blood,
from heart and lung disease,
pray for my
release. Hail Mary . . .
FROM habit and slavery,
pray for my release. Hail Mary . . .
FROM tension, fear, and anxiety,
pray
for my release. Hail Mary . . .
FOR health and calm and peace,
pray for me. Hail Mary . . .
Pray for us, O holy Mother of
God,
that, by Christ redeemed,
we will choose to live in purity.
