The Figure Skater’s Prayer
As we approach the ice to perform for the crowd
We have choreographed a routine in which we are
proud.
With our colorful outfits skates and tights
We take our places under the bright lights.
As we use our talents please be our guide
In
our spins and moves be by our side.
And when skater is having a really bad day
We will be there to help ‘cause that is our way.
Help
us quickly recover if we make a mistake
If we fall on the ice or have a bad break.
Let our parents be proud and give us praise
And the
crowd cheer us on in respectable ways.
After executing a required element or a free skate
We give you glory as the judge’s decision
we await.
When the performance is over and we have given our all
We’re thankful for our abilities no matter how small.
As our skating
number has completed its final theme
We are grateful for your help in following our dream.

Dear God Our Father,
Help me to wisely use the gifts and
Talents that You have so graciously
Bestowed upon
me.
Create in me Dear Lord;
The right attitude with which to
Excel in any endeavor.
A firm belief in You, Our Savior, that

A Skater’s Prayer
Please let me remember on the skating floor,
That conceit and vanity make me a bore.
Let me consider my fellow
man,
And whenever possible lend a hand.
Let me remember during all skates,
That the struggling beginner deserves the breaks.
To break
my pattern is better by far,
Than another skater’s bruises and scars.
Keep me always watchful and alert,
So impending accidents I can
avert.
Let me always be courteous with a friendly smile.
Let me do my part to make skating worthwhile.
