1. Medal of St. Patrick: Pray the Apostles Creed.
2. On each of the 12 green beads: Pray the Glory Be
3. Pray the Intention:
Through the intercession of St. Patrick,
may Gold Almighty strengthen one's faith,
and grant the grace of faith for others.
4. On the breastplate of St. Patrick pray:
Christ as a light, illuminate and guide me!
Christ as a shield, overshadow and cover me!
Christ be under me! Christ be over me!
Christ be beside me, on the left hand and right!
Christ be before me, behind me, about me;
Christ this day, be within me and without me!
On St. Patrick’s Day
May there always be work
For your hands to do.
May your purse always carry
A shilling or two.
May the sun always play on
Your window pane.
May a rainbow chase after
Each spot of rain.
May the hand of a friend
Always be near you.
May God fill your heart with
Gladness and cheer you.
An Ancient Folk Blessing.
St. Patrick’s Prayer
May the Strength of God guide us.
May the Power of God preserve us.
May the Wisdom of God instruct us.
May the Hand of God protect us.
May the Way of God direct us.
May the Shield of God defend us.
May the Angels of God guard us.
Against the snares of the evil one.
May Christ be with us!
May Christ be before us!
May Christ be in us,
Christ be over all!
May Thy Grace, Lord,
Always be ours,
This day, O Lord, and evermore.
