Dear Father, Saint Eligius earned his livelihood
as a metalsmith and he performed his skill so well
that
his reputation brought in a large income.
Dedicating his wealth to You, he used it to help
the poor, ransom slaves, and build churches.
I
ask him to pray for my family members and
friends who work in the business world.
Remind us, O God, to make friendship with
You our highest
priority.
Help us to be aware that we are in partnership
with You in our jobs.
Bless our efforts, our co-workers, and our income.
Deliver
us from all anxieties as we rely on You
in everything we do.

Prayer of Saint Eligius
Heavenly Father, Saint Eligius learned his craft
of a goldsmith and as metalsmith,
performed his
craft so well that he earned
more and more as his reputation grew.
With dedication, he used it to help the poor slaves,
and to erect
churches. He spent his life in the
service of the lowly and made sure that the dead
got decent burials.
We ask him to pray for business
people to succeed
with honesty in the world. Remind us, O God,
to make worship of you, our highest priority.
Bless our efforts, our co-workers,
and our income.
Deliver us from all anxieties as we work with
the resolve of Saint Eligius,
in the Name of Jesus our Lord.

O Saint Eligius, you were a true servant of God,
who dedicated your life to the service
of others.
You used your talents and your wisdom to bring
comfort and hope to the poor, the sick, and
the oppressed.
I turn to
you today, asking for your intercession.
I need your help, your guidance, and your strength,
as I seek to live a life of faith and service.
In
your life on earth, you performed many miracles,
and you brought healing and peace to those in need.
I ask you to pray for me now, that
I too may be a
channel of God’s love and grace to others.
Help me to grow in wisdom and holiness,
so that I may be a true witness
to the Gospel.
Strengthen my faith, and give me the courage
to stand up for what is right,
even in the face of opposition.
With your intercession, may I be able to bring
hope and comfort to those who are suffering,
and to work wonders for God in the world.
